Bucharest Hosts Key Discussion on Railways and Just Transition

A major even on the role of the railway industry in the just transition will be hosted by Pur și Simplu Verde and the Center for Leadership and Innovation at SNSPA in March.

On March 31, Pur și Simplu Verde and the Center for Leadership and Innovation at SNSPA will host a major event on the role of the railway industry in the just transition. Taking place at SNSPA from 2 PM, the event will bring together union leaders, NGOs, and public and private railway representatives to explore how the sector can support a fair and sustainable energy transition.

The discussion is inspired by the Adjust project and interviews conducted by Pur și Simplu Verde with union leaders across various industries for Working Package 2. These insights will inform the conversation on how rail transport can be a key player in a greener future while ensuring fairness for workers.

By fostering dialogue among industry stakeholders, this event aims to highlight policies and strategies that align environmental goals with economic and social equity in the railway sector.
