Within the framework of the ADJUST project, and in order to ensure that the vision developed in the project aligns with society standards, BC3 together with ÖFSE held a meeting with former members of the Spanish Climate Assembly. The objective of the workshop was to present to them the current version of the vision developed within ADJUST, which serves as a framework for the project and aims to guide efforts towards a just energy transition.
The event, which took place online on February 20th, served not only to present the vision developed during the project but also to gather real feedback from citizen representatives to help improve the final version of the vision. A comprehensible and inspiring common vision is essential to fostering collective action and understanding. This vision must clearly articulate the necessity of current measures, aligning diverse societal interests towards a unified goal.
Obtaining citizens’ opinions in this way helps to create a more realistic and understandable vision, making it more feasible and increasing its acceptance not only at a scientific level but also among society as a whole. These actions demonstrate the project’s ability to foster good stakeholder engagement, as well as to co-create together with key actors for a just energy transition.
